Ever since I learned about Hold My Guns®, I have been a huge fan of their mission and the invaluable services they provide. After surviving the Columbine massacre, I appreciated the value of life like never before. As a student of history, I recognize that the best way to protect life is by protecting liberty and property as well. Hold My Guns® has found a way to provide a much-needed service as well as help people in times of crisis, all while valuing and protecting life, liberty, and property.
In the past, whenever I read through the list of risk factors in suicide prevention material aimed toward veterans like myself, I often walked away thinking that I'm just one giant risk walking around. Suicide of family and friends, job loss, isolation, substance abuse, PTSD… I have identified with most of the risks on those lists at some point in my life. It makes me feel broken. Today, I realized that I have protective factors, too. For the first time in a while, I feel like a whole person. I realized that you can have a laundry list of risk factors and even just one or two protective factors that matter, and it's everything. Thank you for saying that the firearms community is a protective factor. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for my buddies I shoot with. We look out for each other.
I never imagined going through a divorce would be so challenging, but reaching out to @holdmygunsorg marked a turning point. Sarah referred me to voluntary firearms storage, connected me with options for pro-rights counselors, and shared with me a personal safety plan. This support made a huge difference. Recently, I received the amazing good news that I will be reconnecting with my child, whom I've missed very much. Demonstrating personal responsibility during this tough situation undoubtedly played a role. I am profoundly thankful for Hold My Guns® — a service I never thought I'd need — and the unwavering support of our firearms community.

The LiveFire App began as a training app for firearms enthusiasts and competitive shooters and has since evolved to a safe haven for the firearms community away from all of the unfair censorship on various social platforms. We believe in a thorough approach to firearms ownership, bridging the gap between the training and community side of the industry. The community aspect is not complete without the integration of mental health awareness and support among firearms owners. We strongly support the mission of Hold My Guns® and look forward to integrating its services into the app.
We believe strongly in the mission of HMG, and we feel that voluntary suicide reduction programs are the way forward.

Hold My Guns® fulfills a need in the firearms community that isn't always thought of, but is always urgent when needed. Suicide Prevention in particular is a message that is close to my heart. I personally have gone through some rough times battling mental illness, and shooting sports saved my life. To be able to advocate for other people struggling with the same things has been a blessing in my life. I want HMG to succeed, and not only myself, but the founder of Blackbelt, Irvin Gill, want to do everything we can to help the organization succeed.
Mental health is one of those issues that has affected just about everyone, including friends and colleagues here at HK. Advocacy, Community, Peace of Mind
I've been promoting members of the firearm community as good people that care about their fellow man. Hold My Guns® is an example of grassroots advocacy in the firearms community. They recognized a need, then went about creating a solution. I've supported HMG from the beginning and I promote them and their mission, it's a great alternative to turning firearms over to the government, losing your property and possibly your rights.

In the midst of whatever stress we may face, we also want ourselves, our loved ones, and even our possessions to be safe, overall. That includes safe practices, like storage of firearms. It makes me happy to know that there is an organization, like Hold My Guns®, working to partner with firearms retailers nationwide, to offer a 'no stress, no worries' alternative for offsite firearms storage when/if needed.
