Hold My Guns®’mission is to save lives, protect property, and preserve rights. Weconnect firearm owners with voluntary firearms storage, through our national network ofpartnering FFLs, during times of personal need. To be human is to go through ups anddowns in life. We believe that times of hardship should be met with an outpouring ofcompassion and camaraderie, not fear-mongering and abrogation of constitutionallyprotected rights.
The firearms community is a protective factor. Built upon the beautiful foundation ofliberty and the personal responsibility required to sustain self-governance, our firearmcommunity members take firearms safety and education seriously. With shared values,we regularly shoot together on the range. We hunt together. We train for de-escalation,defensive scenarios, and properly rendering first aid. We regularly meet at our localsportsmen’s clubs and serve our communities together. Many community membershave even dedicated their lives to public service, including through the military and asfirst responders. In short: We look out for one another. Hold My Guns® leads the way to elevate these existing strengths in a purposeful,practical way to support and equip one another to make informed, life-affirming,responsible choices. This is at the heart of HMG’s work. 2
Outreach alone has helped to save lives, as individuals have self-reported that hearing our message and knowing our program is an option has brought encouragement and confidence to work through their personal matters. Elevating and increasing protective factors, connecting people to resources, and training are facets of our purposeful approach. We appeared on numerous firearms community podcasts and participated in public speaking engagements including the NSSF/Department of Veterans Affairs Firearm Industry Suicide Prevention Roundtable , Montgomery County (Pennsylvania) Veterans Crisis Response Team Training , and Centuries Against Suicide (Quantico, Virginia) .
